About WalkingHorseChat

WalkingHorseChat was founded by Tommy Williams, a lifelong Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast, songwriter, publisher, and technology entrepreneur with one simple belief: the Tennessee Walking Horse industry deserved a place where people could speak freely, exchange ideas, ask questions, and stay informed.

Long before social media changed the way people communicated, WalkingHorseChat became one of the industry’s most recognized online discussion communities. It brought together trainers, owners, exhibitors, breeders, judges, farriers, veterinarians, photographers, and fans from across the country. Every day, conversations covered everything from show results and bloodlines to training methods, rule changes, judging, legislation, industry politics, and the future of the breed.

Over the years, WalkingHorseChat became more than a website—it became a digital town square for the Tennessee Walking Horse community. Thousands of discussions captured the opinions, frustrations, victories, celebrations, and history of a sport that continues to evolve.

As technology changed, so did the vision.

Today, WalkingHorseChat is being rebuilt from the ground up as a next-generation media and information platform. While preserving the open discussion that made it popular, the new WalkingHorseChat expands far beyond a traditional message board.

Our mission includes:

  • Independent news and editorial coverage.
  • Comprehensive horse show reporting and analysis.
  • Historical archives preserving the sport’s rich heritage.
  • AI-powered research tools to help users quickly find information on horses, bloodlines, owners, trainers, riders, judges, and past performances.
  • Community discussion forums where respectful debate is encouraged.
  • Multimedia content including podcasts, interviews, videos, and music celebrating the Tennessee Walking Horse lifestyle.

WalkingHorseChat believes that every successful industry needs three things: transparency, accountability, and open communication. Healthy discussion strengthens organizations, encourages better decision-making, and preserves confidence in competition. Our editorial content is intended to inform, challenge ideas, and encourage thoughtful conversation—not to tell readers what to believe.

The Tennessee Walking Horse has one of the richest traditions in the equine world. The people behind the breed—owners, trainers, riders, breeders, grooms, photographers, announcers, volunteers, and fans—have built a community unlike any other. Their stories deserve to be preserved, celebrated, and shared.

Founder Tommy Williams has spent decades involved in technology, publishing, business development, and the Walking Horse industry. His vision for WalkingHorseChat has always been to combine innovation with tradition by using modern technology to better connect horse people while preserving the history of the breed for future generations.

As artificial intelligence, digital media, and online communities continue to reshape how people access information, WalkingHorseChat is embracing those tools while remaining committed to its original purpose: creating a place where facts matter, opinions are welcome, respectful discussion thrives, and everyone who loves the Tennessee Walking Horse can find a home.

Whether you’re a first-time owner, a seasoned trainer, a World Grand Championship exhibitor, a weekend trail rider, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty and uniqueness of the Tennessee Walking Horse, you’re part of this community.

Thank you for being part of WalkingHorseChat.

The conversation continues.
